For a product to be successful it needs to be successful at multiple things. However,
it mainly consists of two ongoing elements:
Element 1:
Building the right product (product management mind map - building block A)
Product discovery is a major activity (market intelligence, customer intelligence, competitive intelligence, prototyping and feedback etc.)
Business objectives and strategy
Target audience, customers needs and etc.
Element 2:
Building it right (product management mind map - building block B)
Execution (tactical activities of product management, design (UI/UX), product development etc.)
Element 1 & 2 are followed up by:
Go-to-market (product management mind map - building block C)
Measure & monitor (product management mind map - building block D)
Insights gathered from 'measuring and monitoring' feed into product discovery; thus, creating a continuous cycle
Cross-functional (product management mind map - building block E). For example:
Building habit forming products and etc.
This mind map is designed to connect the overwhelming number of dots in product management.
Note: This is a work-in-progress list and is continuously updated.
